SENSORBOTIX: A Robotics workshop by Technical Society 02/09/2017 To 03/09/2017

A Robotics workshop was organized by Technical Society of CACS (Creative Arts and Cultural Society) to Institute students with the astonishing and bewildering worldof Robots. The workshop commenced on 2nd September, 2017 at 9:00AM and ended on 3rd September 07:00 PM. The workshop covered various fascinating topics like Autonomous Robot, Obstacle Avoider Robot, Bluetooth Robotics, PC Controlled Robot, Line Follower Robot and Obstacle Detector Robots. This workshop was a success because of the commendable effort and meticulous planning of Dr. MeenakshiTripathi, Dr. Prerna Jain and Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Faculty Advisor, Technical Society, MNIT Jaipur.
TheWorkshop held with the motive to provide a foundation for developing more advanced robots over time among young engineers. It was designed for beginners and was intended to be challenging. The Workshop mainly aimed at developing new strategies for introducing students to robotics technologies and concepts, and argues for the importance of providing multiple entry points into robotics. It was surprisingto see theactive participation of theyouth. All the students were divided into a various teams and each team was having 3-4 students in it.
Theinstructors suggested new strategies and concepts along with the importance of autonomous computing in real life. They also motivated young people with diverse interests and learning styles to indulge in robotic development.
The Workshop ended competentlyafter 16 hours with an active participation of 111 students(including our team)of which most of them were from 1st and 3rd semester. The hard work and dedication of the student team of Technical Society, reflected in the successful and hassle free completion of the SENSORBOTIX.
At the end of workshop, a competition based on "line follower robot" was also held. The first, second and third winners of this competition have been given an entry in the final round of the robotic challenge at IIT Hyderabad (aIRC'17).
